Note: The Honors College fellowship applications are closed for Spring 2025!

Faculty are encouraged to propose fellowships for the 2025-2026 academic year.

An Honors College Student Fellowship is a $1,500 - $3000 grant given to a Commonwealth Honors student for pre-approved scholarly engagement that is overseen and guided by a mentor. Each fellowship must have a critical reading component and conclude with a 15 minute in-person presentation. The student is expected to invest about 75 hours of focused effort for a one-semester fellowship or 150 hours of focused effort for a two-semester fellowship.

A fellowship is a 0-credit Honors Experiential Learning Opportunity that can satisfy an honors requirement.

The $1,500 - $3000 grant is applied to a student's financial account. Typically, half of the award is disbursed at the start of the fellowship, with the second disbursed when the student satisfactorily completes their final presentation.

Please note: Students can only receive one (1) Honors College Student Fellowship.

Eligibility: Students must be in good standing with the Honors College and the University.

Deadline: The deadline to apply for fellowships in the Fall 25 semester is September 08, 2025.
