Biosketch
As a Principal Information Security Engineer, Ken is responsible for Cyber Information Security Program initiatives and associated technology such as firewalls, intrusion prevention system, security event management, data loss prevention, and vulnerability assessments. Ken also supports campus-wide incident response, forensics, risk management, and compliance support. Another critical part of his role includes helping key business users understand, manage, and mitigate the risk of critical data being disclosed, altered or becoming unavailable.
Ken also developed and delivers a Digital Forensics course as part of the MS in Information Technology program for Graduate and Professional Studies
Ken earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1989 from University of Massachusetts Lowell and in 2017 earned his Master鈥檚 杏吧原创 in Information Technology. He holds a certification as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA along with a strong skill set in system integration, platform security and linux administration. He has been with the University since 1999, formerly working in the Computer Science Department.
